AUTOMOBILE & TRANSPORTATION ACCIDENT
Sometimes accidents can happen that doesn't necessarily have to do with anything concerning the way you operate your car. You could fall victim to bad and poorly constructed, outdated roads that might cause your own car or somebody else's to veer out of control, resulting in an accident, the seriousness of which can be compounded if you are driving at high speeds on a freeway. You could encounter a truck driver who is tired or even falling asleep at the wheel because he's trying to meet some unreasonable deadline, and if you get hit by one of these 18-wheelers, you are going to have the kind of trouble that becomes very serious as well.
You could be hit by a drunk driver, or someone who is under the influence of drugs, who has no business being behind the wheel of a car, and to make matters worse, it may be someone who has been pulled over before and not cited, or cited with a suspended license. Drivers who have licenses that are suspended or revoked should not be driving on the road, and there should be a way for you to collect if you are wronged by someone like this.
Railroad crossings can be dangerous places, particularly if they are not functioning correctly. If the signal does not go on and/or the barrier does not go down, the result of such a malfunction can very easily be a catastrophic accident.
A "transportation" accident may not have anything to do with a car. Plane accidents are not common, thank God, but they often result in death or serious injury, and pilot error, as well as mechanical and/or computer malfunctions may be at fault. In these cases, there is a cause for action.
